How dare they impersonate me.

Please beware of suspicious emails appearing to come from hasendow.jp.

I have received several delivery failure notifications sent to email addresses I have never made public, for emails I have no recollection of sending. In fact, another one arrived just as I was writing this post.

As far as I have checked, there seem to be no issues with my email settings. It is highly likely that a third party is trying to send emails by spoofing my address as the sender.

While I cannot confirm whether any such emails have actually been delivered at this time, should you receive any suspicious emails from hasendow.jp, please delete them immediately without opening them or clicking any links.

As a side note, I basically never send emails from showichi.jp or frostheim.net, except when communicating with clients regarding illustration work. If you suddenly receive an email from those domains saying things like “Please log in immediately to confirm” or “Earn 40,000 yen a day working on your smartphone,” please assume it is a fake me.

The other day, I also received a spam email inviting me to exchange links. “Reciprocal links” in this day and age, my my … (Apparently, even after social media became the mainstream way to promote oneself, there was a time when this was still effective for SEO on corporate websites. But originally, it was meant to be a way to recommend and introduce sites that are genuinely helpful or relevant to one’s own.)
