“Chaldea Ace Vol. 2” is out tomorrow.
I had the pleasure of drawing a manga featuring Assassin of Shinjuku and the female protagonist.

With permission from the writer and the official team, I have included Assassin of Shinjuku’s True Name in the story. My sincere thanks to them for allowing this.

The opening scene where the protagonist wakes up is inspired by the area just before Kabukicho, on the east side of the overpass. If I remember correctly, that’s around where I “found” Assassin of Shinjuku in the AR feature released at the same time, so I chose that as the starting point. The rest of the backgrounds are mostly fictional.

I’ve been nervous about this project ever since I first received the offer, so I’m relieved it’s finally reaching everyone. I just hope as many people as possible enjoy it.

And the “remains” in the photo below are from when I tried to build a model of Assassin’s gauntlet for reference, but eventually gave up.
